NVIDIA has subtly upgraded its "GeForce RTX" logo by adding a small line that reads "Powering Advanced AI." This signifies NVIDIA's commitment to building advanced AI technologies.
Future RTX cards, whether sold in retail boxes or pre-installed in desktops and laptops, will feature this updated logo.
GeForce has always been synonymous with gaming graphics cards, from the early GTX series to today's RTX series.
However, in recent years, GPUs have emerged as the most powerful chips for AI-accelerated computing. With the added benefit of CUDA's extensive ecosystem, NVIDIA faces little competition in this space. Intel and AMD's trinity strategy of combining CPU, GPU, and NPU still falls short.
Today's GeForce graphics cards, although not as powerful as high-performance AI GPU acceleration cards, are still incredibly robust. Even the entry-level mobile version of the RTX 4050 boasts 120 Tensor cores.
NVIDIA is also integrating more AI technologies into gaming and productivity, with features like DLSS upscaling, frame generation, ACE, and ChatRTX.
Given this progress, it's only logical to incorporate AI into the GeForce RTX logo at this point.
