Blogger @momomo_us has released official renders of the MSI Z890 MPG Carbon, marking it as the first MSI Z890 motherboard to be revealed and the second Z890 motherboard to receive official confirmation. Earlier in June, several motherboard manufacturers showcased their Z890 motherboards at Computex Taipei. However, due to Intel's restrictions, they could not explicitly label them as Z890. The exception was Intel's Z890 SILVER, making it the first officially confirmed Z890 motherboard. Previous reports suggest that Intel's new generation of Core Ultra 200K processors may be unveiled on October 10th. These processors will require the new LGA-1851-based Z890 motherboards. As a result, major manufacturers are likely to announce their Z890 products on the same day. The MSI Z890 MPG Carbon motherboard was not showcased at Computex, and currently, only three photos are available. ▲ Z890 The Z890's design is nearly identical to MSI's previous X870 motherboard, featuring three PCIe x16 slots, 2.5G and 5G ethernet ports, and Wi-Fi 7 support. The primary difference is the location of the 8-pin power connector. ▲ Z890 Another significant difference is that, while the X870 motherboard offers only one USB Type-C port, the Z890 motherboard provides two Thunderbolt ports (version unknown). ▲ X870 The X870 motherboard for AMD Ryzen processors is scheduled for release on September 30th. The Z890 motherboard is expected to debut on October 24th, alongside Intel's next-generation Core Ultra 200K series processors.
