GIGABYTE motherboards now greatly simplify the process of activating the X3D Turbo acceleration mode for Ryzen 9000 processors, specifically designed for the Ryzen 9000 X3D cache model. Previously, users could only enable this feature by entering the BIOS. However, it is now possible to configure it directly within the Windows environment!

With the newly provided AORUS AI Snatch software from GIGABYTE (despite the misleading name, it relates not to AI), users can effortlessly set up the X3D Turbo mode right from Windows.

It's important to note that after enabling this setting, a system reboot is required before the change takes effect.

From a technical standpoint, the X3D Turbo mode is tailored for the upcoming Ryzen 9 9950X3D and Ryzen 9 9900X3D models. These processors feature two CCDs, where only one is enhanced with the X3D cache, potentially leading to scheduling mismatches. This mode temporarily disables the non-cached CCD to optimize game performance.

According to GIGABYTE, this enhancement can boost performance by as much as 18%.
