In recent weeks, data has shown that AMD's graphics card sales in the German retail market have been exceptionally robust. The RDNA 4 architecture-based Radeon RX 9070 XT, a standout performer, has sold nearly 925 units according to statistics published by Mindfactory. This number surpasses the combined sales of NVIDIA's RTX 50 series, which achieved 920 units, establishing it as one of the most popular mid-range and high-end GPUs in the region. Although data from a single retail channel may not fully represent global trends, it does provide insight into consumer purchasing behaviors in this market. Notably, the RX 9060 XT also demonstrated strong sales, reaching over 500 units during the same period. Together with the RX 9070 XT, the sales exceeded 1,400 units, outperforming the combined sales of all NVIDIA and Intel GPU models. In contrast, the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti sold fewer than 400 units, while the Intel Arc B570 ranked lowest with only a few units sold. The RX 9070 XT competes against both the RTX 5070 and RTX 5070 Ti. Despite similar rasterization performance, gamers often prioritize ray tracing capabilities, which might explain why the RX 9070 non-XT models have seen consistently sluggish sales, selling less than 40 units. Many in the gaming community view the RTX 5070 as a more compelling overall option. Nevertheless, a recent price cut has brought the RX 9070 XT closer to its original MSRP, significantly boosting its sales. In addition to the German market data, North American e-commerce trends mirror similar patterns. The Amazon bestseller list is currently led by the PowerColor Red Devil RX 9070 XT, followed by the ASUS Prime GeForce RTX 5070 and related accessories. Additional models making the list include the ASRock Challenger RX 9070 XT, ASUS PRIME RTX 5070 Ti, ASRock Steel Legend RX 9070 XT, and the MSI Ventus RTX 5070, all showing strong sales of the RX 9070 XT across various brands. On NewEgg.com, the RX 9070 XT maintains a leading position, reflecting its performance in the German market. According to Mindfactory's 47th weekly sales report, AMD's total shipments reached approximately 1,560 units, capturing nearly 60% of the market share, while NVIDIA shipped fewer than 1,000 units. In terms of revenue, AMD's GPU sales make up more than half of the omni-channel totals. The impressive sales performance of the RX 9070 XT highlights the competitive nature of AMD's RDNA 4 architecture in certain markets. As prices decline and inventory improves, consumer preferences in mid to high-end GPUs are shifting. Although RTX 5070 sales remain strong in certain regions, the RX 9070 XT's position at the top of several major retail channels underscores its robust standing in the current market landscape.
