Ryzen 7 9800X3D Performance Revealed: Cinebench R23 Multi-Core Score Increases by 30%

Early this morning, an external media outlet revealed the Cinebench R23 score for the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, showcasing a remarkable improvement in multi-core performance by as much as 30% compared to its predecessor, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D.

Cinebench R23 Multi-Core Performance Boost

CodeCommando reported on a total of two Ryzen 9000X3D scores. The 8-core variant, also known as the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, achieved a Cinebench R23 single-core score of 2145 and an impressive multi-core score of 23315.

Here's a screenshot of our FastTech Ryzen 7 7800X3D tested with the PBO power limit unlocked. However, due to heat accumulation, it quickly reached the 95-degree temperature threshold, resulting in a multi-core score of only 17,618.

The Ryzen 7 9800X3D offers a 21% improvement in single-core scores over its predecessor, and a 32% increase in multi-core performance.

Excluding the 10% IPC boost resulting from the Zen5 architecture, it can be estimated that the Ryzen 7 9800X3D operates at roughly 20% higher full-load capacity on all cores compared to the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, clocking in at around 5.7GHz.
