With the anticipated release of the RTX 50 series drawing near, more information is beginning to surface. Recently, a European retailer has listed the GeForce RTX 5080 AIB Edition at €1,699, which includes 20% VAT.
When this price is converted to US dollars, it amounts to approximately $1,748, factoring in the 20% VAT applicable in Europe.
After removing the VAT, the cost decreases to $1,456. Further adjustment for the so-called ASUS tax, estimated between 100 to 200 euros, suggests a price of about $1,349 for the North American market.
The source indicates that in an ideal scenario, the GeForce RTX 5080 might have a suggested retail price around $1,200, possibly between $1,200 and $1,300. This pricing places it approximately in line with the debut price of the RTX 4080, which was one of the more budget-friendly options in the Ada lineup.
Additionally, news from @Kopite7Kimi suggests that NVIDIA is preparing to launch DLSS 4.0 soon.
Based on this information, the RTX 5080 is anticipated to be less costly than earlier rumors suggested. Would this pricing influence your decision to purchase?
