Recent discussions hinted that Intel's ARC discrete graphics cards might make a prominent appearance next month, yet specific details were sparse. However, more information has now emerged.

An insider has shared a teaser poster featuring the words, "Intel ARC, Battlemage SoC, and December 2024," once again suggesting that Intel's ARC graphics cards are indeed set for a significant announcement in December.

The nature of this announcement remains uncertain: could it be a public teaser, a paper announcement, or an official release? Each possibility remains on the table.

It's confirmed that NVIDIA plans to unveil the RTX 50 series at CES 2025, and the AMD RX 8000 series is at least expected to be announced by then.

For Intel, timing is crucial. If they opt to release during CES 2025, they might lose impact, so an earlier release or preliminary actions beforehand could be more strategic.

Intel ARC graphics cards have been in the market for two years, yet the second generation is slow to surface. Given Intel's current challenges, some have speculated that Intel might withdraw from the discrete graphics card market once again.

However, recent definitive information confirms that Intel will continue their efforts at least through the Battlemage II, proceeding with the third generation, codenamed Celestial.

The fate of the fourth generation, Druid, previously mentioned in Intel's roadmap, remains uncertain. Hopefully, it will not be shelved.
