NVIDIA's notebook graphics cards are often transformed into desktop versions, but it's surprising to see Intel receiving the same treatment—and officially, no less. Advantech has unveiled the new EAI-3100, which utilizes the Arc A370M mobile GPU.
The card is remarkably compact, measuring just 168 mm in length, though it does occupy a dual-slot width. It features large aluminum fins and a small cooling fan.
The specifications remain unchanged: it houses 8 Xe cores, operates at a frequency of 1550MHz, and comes with 4GB of 64-bit GDDR6 memory. The system bus supports PCIe 4.0 x8.
The card offers two HDMI 2.0b and two DisplayPort 1.4a interfaces, allowing connections to four displays. The maximum output resolutions are 4K60 and 8K60, respectively.
Originally, power consumption ranged from 35W to 50W, but it has now increased slightly to 60W.
Generally, a PCIe x16 slot would be sufficient to power this card, so the inclusion of an 8-pin power connector is quite unexpected and seems somewhat redundant.
