The AMD RX 7000 series of notebook graphics cards had a significant gap between the flagship RX 7900M with its Navi 31 large cores, and the mainstream RX 7600/7700 series with their Navi 33 small cores.

The RX 7900M features 4608 stream processors, 256-bit 16GB GDDR6 memory, and has a total power consumption of 180-200W. On the other hand, the RX 7600M XT has only 2048 stream processors, 128-bit 8GB GDDR6 memory, and a power consumption ranging from 75-120W.

The RX 7800M bridges this gap as the first medium core Navi 32 with 3840 stream processors, 96 ROP units, and 48MB of infinite cache—comparable to the desktop RX 7800 XT.

The core frequency is set at 2145MHz, offering a peak single precision performance of 35.87 TFlops and a peak semi-precision performance of 71.73 TFlops, with a total power consumption of up to 180W.

The memory configuration includes a 192-bit wide 12GB GDDR6 running at an equivalent frequency of 18GHz, providing a bandwidth of 432GB/s.

In terms of performance, the RX 7800M surpasses the mobile RTX 4070 but falls short of the mobile RTX 4080.
