Exclusive First Benchmark of RTX 3050 A Mobile GPU! Comparable to RTX 3050 Ti

NVIDIA's newly unveiled RTX 3050 A mobile GPU has finally appeared on Geekbench, offering us an insight into its performance capabilities.

The RTX 3050 A is integrated into HP's LightShadow Elf laptop, featuring 1,792 CUDA cores clocked at 1,935 MHz, 4GB of video memory, and is built on the AD106 GPU utilizing the Ada Lovelace architecture, similar to the RTX 40 series.

Benchmark results from Geekbench reveal that the RTX 3050 A scored 57,138 points in the OpenCL benchmark. This score surpasses the stock RTX 3050 6GB, which scored 53,590 points, and the RTX 3050 4GB, which recorded 48,462 points. However, it falls short of the RTX 4050's 80,921 points.

The performance suggests that the RTX 3050 A is approximately on par with the RTX 3050 Ti, which has a score of 57,584. The RTX 3050 Ti is a slightly more powerful variant of the RTX 3050.

It is notable that the RTX 3050 A has a Total Graphics Power (TGP) of up to 50W, making it suitable primarily for low-power environments. NVIDIA has confirmed to international press that the RTX 3050 A will be available in select markets, such as India, and will not see a widespread global release.

If this GPU is priced competitively close to the RTX 3050 4GB, it would be a compelling option. That said, the motivation behind releasing such a card at this specific time remains unclear.
